Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that humanitarian aid will be allowed to resume into Gaza, albeit with only a “basic amount of food” permitted, as recommended by the Israeli military to support its expanding operations in the region.
Since 2 March, Israel has blocked all humanitarian aid, including food, water, medical supplies, and fuel.
Israeli media report that the first aid truck will enter Gaza on Monday, using existing delivery methods, before the establishment of the US-Israeli “mechanism” in a week’s time.
